Setting up new innovative, high technology companies has proven to be an effective means of capitalizing on scientific research.

Projects are chosen on the basis of scientific, technological and marketing criteria together with the ability of the founder to successfully lead his company through the various stages of his corporate plan. Each such project is evaluated by the head of the fund who has 12 years of experience in seed financing and providing help to innovative companies.

The fund may co-invest alongside other seed or early-stage venture capital funds.

Investments are made within a framework of working relationships with a certain number of organizations that support innovation such as Anvar and Ademe, well-known research institutions such as INRA, CNRS and CEA, and the main company incubators of the Espace Central and South East regions.

Seed financing consists of funding the initial costs of building a prototype. If, at the end of the seed stage, the prototype is deemed a success, Sofimac Partners invests additional funds to mass produce and market the product.
